Your release date is the day your music is scheduled to go live. Stores need time to receive and process the delivery first, so the date must be set with enough lead time.
Kalmori's recommendations
- Minimum: submit at least 2 weeks before release day.
- Recommended: 3–4 weeks before.
- Albums and larger campaigns: 4–6 weeks.
Choosing a day
Many artists choose Fridays to align with weekly new-release cycles, but any day works. Avoid dates immediately after major holidays when store processing is slower.
Changing a date
While the release is a draft or in Needs Action you can change the date freely. After approval a date change may require redelivery — contact Support. Once a release is live its release date cannot be changed.
