You can move releases that are already live elsewhere to Kalmori. Done carefully, platforms recognise the new delivery as the same release and keep your streams and playlist placements.
The migration process
- Collect your data from the current distributor: original audio masters, artwork, release dates, ISRC for every track and UPC for every release.
- Create each release in Kalmori with identical metadata:
- same artist spelling,
- same track titles and version information,
- same track order,
- the existing ISRC on each track,
- the existing UPC where you still control it and want the same product identity,
- the original release date.
- Upload the original audio (the same masters).
- Submit and wait for Kalmori's delivery to be confirmed live.
- Only then request the takedown at your previous distributor, so the release is never absent from stores.
- Check each platform once the old delivery is removed.
Avoid duplicates
Do not re-release the same recording with a new ISRC or the same product with a new UPC unless you intend it to be a separate listing.
