- Mono — one audio channel.
- Stereo — two channels (Left and Right) that can carry different information, creating width and placement.
How to check
After you upload, Kalmori shows the channel count it detected on the track. You can also check in your DAW or a media player's file properties.
What to do with mono
Distribution masters should be stereo. Re-export the master as a stereo file. See Stereo Audio Requirements — and remember that making a mono file stereo does not change how it sounds.
